A scary and most peculiar dream
I had the weirdest dream last night. Actually it was after I fell back asleep-I forgot to turn off that alarm since there is no practice for cross country today.
So a group of us (seniors mostly from our European trip) were walking around a forest path talking about what our future spouses would be, how they would look like and which personalities they would have. People were saying they wanted someone who was not the conventionally normal, but different for them, unique. A perfect match. Oddly enough paths started appearing left and right. Some were clear cut with dirt roads and beautiful overhangings. While others were more adventurous with bushes and shrubs to jump over or maneuver around. Eventually some people, one at a time branched off and walked through these paths (supposedly to meet their future spouse?).
At the end of the main path, we came to an immense dirt clearing with a mansion at its center. The people who had left through the paths rejoined us as we neared the house, with their new spouses. Oddly enough, there was no conversation about these spouses. A young suited man, black hair around 30, supposedly the owner/tour guide was in the center of our group. He was talking about this house and saying that it was supposedly a place to search your dream spouse or what not.
So we all went in (the spouses left) and at first it was a store like ones you'd find at tourist attraction that sold items. Most people continued except Maura and Lauren (don't ask me why I don't know). They were looking at this book on the floor in a corner(I don't know what). So I decided to stay and after a while we caught back up to the group. Then, I heard that some other people stayed in the attic, so I went and searched for them. When I got up there, I found that it was full of doors. I turned left and saw the stragglers (I think Allie and Sarah la danseuse) and suddenly a door opened with a burly Benjamin Franklin (real looking statue with skin and glasses) wheeled straight at us and stopped. We screamed and after 1-2min the statue wheeled itself back in and the door closed. Well that was creepy. I wonder whose future spouse that was supposed to be? lol -The stragglers went back to the group and I stayed a little while to explore (why I'd be stupid enough to do that, I don't know).
After a few minutes, I started going back, but I couldn't find the way out. So I choose a door and as soon as I was inside this new corridor, the door slammed behind me. It was eerily quiet in the dark hallway with only a light illuminating a desk at the end of the hallway.
This was a really really weird dream. It was like I could choose what to do, but not what was in it. A virtual RPG of the making. I felt everything was real like a waking dream.
I was really scared and started painting. I reeled the doors open and got ready to strike at whatever came out. All closets so I walked slowly towards the lighted desk. Well "luckily" the table at the end had some knifes. There was also a dartboard with some darts hanging above it. I took them and started putting them in my pocket when I heard my sister in the back of my head- "you know it's not safe to put knives in your pocket" (mb since in Harry Potter 5 I had just read about a wizard telling Harry not to put his wand in his back pocket). So somehow I found a jean fabric glove and wrapped my weapons inside and put it in my pocket.
So I continued along my adventure with my right hand in my pocket ready to pull out a knife or dart and strike any uh..statue? down. I frantically opened doors and slammed them shut. (Now the rest is a little fuzzy, mb I'll remember it later). But, I eventually found my way down and ran outside. So much for finding a spouse-nice haunted scary house. Maybe I’m destined to marry “The Corpse Bride.” Wouldn’t that be fun?
Well when I got out, everyone was talking, casually, as if nothing had happened. It was a sunny afternoon and all was forgotten...I sure didn’t and I woke up…panting for water? Where’s my bride!
