Wow.
Remember that poem I wrote? The one about my ex bf? The one I wrote in 30 seconds? Well I sent it in to a minor poetry contest and apparently I am now a nominee for "Poet of the Year of 2005". I also am awarded with the "Outstanding Achievement in Poetry" award. Crazy huh? I can't believe it. I'm invited down to Orlando in Feb. for the 2005 International Society of Poets Spring Convention and Symposium to be inducted as an International Poet of Merit and Member of the Poet Honor Society. I also get to read my poem aloud in front of thousands of people. Wow. I don't know what to think. That poem was just a bunch of random thoughts and I swear I wrote it in less than a minute. Wow. Of course I'm not going because it costs $595 to get me and two other people down there. But I'm greatly honored and the whole thing just blows me away. I wish I could go.
