Hola! :)

Hello, my name is Bella, and I'm sort of a novice to Spanish cinema - nevertheless, I love it. I've only seen a few Spanish films (most notably, Pan's Labyrinth and Y Tu Mamá También), but I am eager to see more, especially The Spirit of the Beehive, if I ever find it. Anyway, the reason I'm here is because I need your help. My grandparents are really into foreign films, and one of their favorites is a Spanish one, but the can't remember the name of it, when it was made, or any of the actors in it. Basically, all they remember is the plot,

From what they told me, the movie focuses on an out-of-work man who goes to work on this ranch and ends up taking care of the rancher's wife's child, because she is completely over-worked and needs all the help she can get, since her husband is sort of a ne'er-do-well. Soon after the guy starts working there, the wife kills herself, and this guy, knowing that the husband is a terrible father, takes the baby with him to the city. The guy's desperate for work again, and I guess he finds work with these teenage hoodlums (?), who want him to help them rob a store without him realizing it. During the robbery, he gets killed, and the baby is left with this gang, despite all his good intentions.

I know I probably butchered the plot, but if any of you can help me with the name of this movie or maybe where I can find it, that would be wonderful!
