the state of american politics is as a sinking ship. corrupt politicians weigh down our ability to realize goals. and just as the man in the boat desperately tries to rid the vessel of water with a bucket, we try to rid ourselves of corruption. with a powerful movement we gouge up a heavy burden and eject it overboard, back into the sea of self-interest and amorality from whence it came, only to see it replaced in an instant by more of the same pervasive flowing substance.
