Hip Hop the Elements: DJs, MCs, breakdancers and graffiti artists.
I think I've been enlightened. Either way, now I want decks way more then I did before. I just wish I had the time and money to get some and learn how to use them. Yeah, trance is okay, but DJs like DJ Craze, Mix Master Mike, QBert, DJ Krush, A-Trak and Cut Chemist are awesome. The stuff they can do with turnies, damn!
Anyway, what lead me to establish the awesomeness of hip-hop and hip-hop culture was
Scratch!. I stumbled across it whilst watching TV (while I should have been studying). In the end I decided to watch it over other great movies including Big Daddy, or whatever the movie with Adam Sandler was called. I don't regret it either.
It started out mostly hip-hoppish, more about old school rap, Afrikaa Bambataa, but later on developed into a doco more about turntablists. Alot of insight into DJs like Cut Chemist and QBert. Anyway if you want to know more about it go to the site, or get the DVD (Zane if you're reading this please get the DVD ;)
Anyway now I'm starting to download more of their music. I reckon this should have been the way Deadman should have gone with his DJing. But I respect his decision to be a trancish DJ. Yeah, well check it out, it's mad!
That is not a fuck up of the cut. The headphones fell off. Bullshit, that shit wasn't off beat.
