Slightly interesting long post

My trip to LA was cool. Literally. After suffering from the heat wave here, it was nice that LA decided to be nice and cool while I was down there. It was overcast almost the whole time. The first day we were there it wasn't. We went to the beach, and I got a sunburn, though it wasn't too bad, until I decided to get burned worse the next day when we went to my grandparent's place to swim (the sun was shining occasionally through the clouds, and I was swimming for something like 4 hours).

I had coldstone's ice cream for the first time when I was at the beach. It was good. I had some peanut butter + peanut butter cup + fudge + chocolate ice cream thing. It was quite good. I was fascinated with how the dude was smashing everything in.

It became obvious that I was playing Tetris DS way too much. Whenever I closed my eyes, I would see the screen almost filled with blocks and a few holes scattered between them. I would imagine fitting pieces into it to clear lines and then fit in other gaps to clear those lines... Yeah, maybe that's not too good.

I saw Boondock Saints with George a few days ago because of good recommendations from both Zophia and Steffani, both said basically "You would really like that movie". I have to say: I did. I liked it a lot (it's up there with Fight Club and the first Matrix movie). We also saw Boomer, a Russian movie. There were no subtitles but George filled me in on the important parts. It was a good movie.

Jeff built his computer yesterday with help from me, George, and Kenny. I'll leave Jeff to post anything about that if he wishes.

I'll go ahead and post my Fall semester's schedule:

PSYCH-122-1548 Psychology in Modern Life -- M W F 9:00 am - 9:50 am
HIST-120-1375 History of the US Before 1877 -- M W F 11:00 am - 11:50 am
MATH-191-0654 Pre-Calculus -- M W 1:00 pm - 2:50 pm AND F 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm
COMSC-265-3177 Adv Programming With C & C++ -- T TH 9:30 am - 11:00 am
SPCH-120-2624 Fundamentals of Speech -- T TH 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm

Looks like I'll actually have to go to school on Fridays :( I thought it was only one class for an hour. Oh well, I guess it is an unfortunate side effect of lots of classes. And with Speech, it looks like I have to give up my no-talking-streak at DVC. I guess I can't be silent forever. I'm still not going to enjoy giving speeches, though.

Nick! My programming teacher is Kow!

And one last thing! Steffani and Kenny; get better!
