My thoughts on making September eleventh a national holiday.
I'm not going to get too soapbox-y here, but I will say that I'm not terribly in support of the idea of memorializing the day we got a bloody nose. I'm never going to forget that day, but I'm not keen on institutionalizing or enshrining it. Here's how I observe 9/11: If I'm supposed to work, I work, and if I'm not, I sleep in. My way of remembering is by going about my day normally, because a pack of jerks can't throw me off or slow me down.
