Book rec of the week: One Hundred Years of Solitude (a good summer book)
So today I left work early with a headache. It's finally gone away, and now it's time for bed.
Things I'm looking forward to:
Johnnie party this weekend. If you are a DC/area Johnnie you should attend so I can see you and sob all over you in an embarrassing way.
Pottery class. I am getting good at pitchers! I feel like an ARTISTE. If you have not yet gotten a pot from me, that's because you haven't visited me in like a year. SHAME ON YOU.
Playing pool with the man*. He's teaching me how to be a shark. It's going slowly, I am not a natural. But I feel like if I can play croquet I should be able to play pool. Is it not the same concept?!
Fall soccer starting soon!! Nothing changes in my life, I would just like to point this out for anyone keeping track.
CARLY COMING TO VISIT. Enough said.
Things I'm not looking forward to:
Going to work tomorrow. Because of my headache today, I will need to actually accomplish things tomorrow. Relatedly:
Carrying my computer to work tomorrow. Normally I do not bring it home, but I did because I left early but wanted to still be around to answer email. But it's SO HEAVY.
Going to bed tonight. Sleep sucks.
I am going to leave you with this thought: William Hurt was really hot in The Big Chill and also the Accidental Tourist.
*I don't know how I feel about this tag. It doesn't sound right, not like the boy, or historically, the not!boy. But I'm old now, and he's even older! Doesn't that mean we should age in our descriptors?
