So, yesterday (Thursday) morning, I went running, just around the neighborhood. As my feet were pounding the concrete sidewalks, I thought, "Damn, my orthopedist would kill me if he saw me doing this". Later that day, just after leaving seminar, I came down wrong on my left foot at the bottom of a small flight of steps and twisted it pretty hard, falling in the process. If you knew me last fall, you may recall me doing the EXACT SAME THING (minus the falling) then, putting me on crutches for a couple of days. Fortunately, I fell this time instead of catching myself, which meant that I did not hurt my foot badly enough that I couldn't walk on it (apparently trying to stand up on the top side of your foot sprains it - who knew)- a couple days of Ace bandage and walking gingerly seems to be doing well enough. I did, however, discover that wearing jeans does not necesarily mean that you can't skin your knee badly enough to bleed a lot, but it does mean that the resulting scab is rather bluish. I think it was all payback for running that morning.
Karma is a bitch.
I should probably not be allowed to walk without a helmet and kneepads.
