daelite talked about some rumour regarding the return of uchi and kusano to NEWS. the source of the rumour was, supposedly, from a drunk ryochan.
months ago, i wouldn't want them to be back in NEWS. i said to obachan: NEWS is 6 people, not 8! you could perhaps understand if you know that when i knew NEWS, they were only 6 people (i got to know them in about april this year?). and since then i've started to believe that 8 is a bad number for jani jimusho group (look at NewS with notti and uchi and also Kanjani8, they're both NOT 8 anymore now).
but, since then, i've watched more shows and clips of NewS, and i've managed to recognise their voices well enough to pick out notti's and uchi's voice. and NOW, i say, bring them back! =)
why the sudden change in mind? well, again according to daelite (omg daelite, i'm becoming your fan here!!!) due to the nature of japan's old shame-based community that is currently undergoing a change (i'd say it's due to the youth culture!), she describes why "KAT-TUN is so popular, why Kanjani8 is destined to gain popularity and why NEWS is destined to fail" (quote daelite)
go on and read her post (click on the second daelite link), it's extremely interesting, especially if you're interested in anything japanese. she actually managed to link socio-politic-sounding topic like "shame-based community" into jani jimusho context to argue that notti-uchi should be taken back into NEWS! xD
BUT, it wasn't her post that made me agree to the duo taken back in. it's been quite some time that i realised that: notti is a really really good dancer! and together with massu they could perhaps perform great stunts together. not to mention that he's a really really good singer, and, although tegomassu is more or less fixed and unchangeable, there are chances that NEWS would be able to perform better songs than any of the other jani jimusho groups (in terms of complexity and pitching )and sounding awesome while at it!! (i always go back to sound, sooner or later)
uchi, well, uchi is a very good looking, no? i don't really know *shrugs* but there's something in him, certainly, if johnny decided to let him have a solo concert. so, taking him back in won't have any minus points for NEWS too, wouldn't it?
so, i say now, bring them back in! i always grit my teeth whenever a comparison is made between a certain group and NEWS and found out that NEWS always look more, err, undesirable, if compared to that other one, eventhough everything else about NEWS is good. or better.
daelite's post make sense and now i undestand the reason. i should point out that post to hany some time, coz that time i forced her to sit and listen to me think aloud about it xDDDDDDD
if taking notti-uchi would be able to boost NEWS popularity a few notches higher up, why not?
ON THE OTHER HAND.... NEWS had been working hard, really hard, these 2 years without them, going on 2 tours and their first Tokyo Dome concert with only 6 members. it would be unfair for the 6 to let the 2 come back, eventhough the 2 had been undergoing "punishment" that doesn't sound like a punishment coz i still see uchi's face in magz and all....
i just wonder how it would turn out.
