Watching Back to the Future Part 3, something occured to me. The fuel line of the DeLorean is punctured by an arrow when Marty goes back to 1885. This is the central macguffin of the film, as there won't be replacement gas until 190something. However, couldn't they have just gotten replacement gas from the DeLorean that was buried in the mine in 1885?
