So it's about 4:30AM. I have been awake for 45 minutes. I really wish I could fall back to sleep. Even TV isn't helping me. The Discovery Channel almost always helps me fall back to sleep. I sorted my laundry, cleaned up my room a little bit, and tried just lying in bed. Gah! This has happened before. I really don't like this whole lack of sleep thing. It doesn't suit me well...but I need to do something, so I'm here.
This past weekend was fun. Friday night, I made the Guatemalan flag for Relay for Life. Then I went up to Josh's and hung out. We headed out to his friends apartment, and he had a campfire! I love fire. It was freezing, but I couldn't wear my coat because alcohol and letters don't mix well. I wasn't drinking, but I still didn't want my letters near it. Instead, Berti let me borrow his hoodie. I served as DD, and drove Josh and his friends home at 2:30AM.
I had Relay Saturday. I got there at 10AM and left at 10PM when it was done. I got nice and tan, with a little sunburn on my nose. The university reached it's goal of 20K, which was awesome. I was tired from the 5 hours of sleep the night before and from all the walking.
Sunday, I went up to Josh's for breakfast. I swear that place is a vortex. I can't ever go up there if I really need to accomplish stuff. Julie was also up there. We had our usual of eggs, bacon, sausage, and some form of bread. This time, it was cinnamon rolls. Berti, Josh and I watched Band of Brothers for hours. Julie went off to do some errands. Then Berti and I watched Aladdin. A bunch of other guys came over for a bit. Rick accidentally hit me in the face with a football when he tried to throw it at Berti. After the guys left, Josh, Berti, and I went to Giant to buy stuff for dinner. Julie and Randi came up for food. We played catch outside with a football until Josh was done cooking. I just learned how to throw a football, so I wanted the practice. I caught the ball wrong and hurt my thumb. I didn't think anything of it, but it hurt. After dinner, we started watching Wrong Turn. It was creepy. Then we watch Dog Soldier, which in my opinion was dumb. Josh seemed to like it though.
Yesterday, I woke up and realized that my thumb was still swollen, and I still couldn't move it without it hurting. I went to the Health Center after work, and they said it probably was ok. They sent me for x-rays anyways. It turned out to be strained, and now I have to wear a splint all week. It gets in my way. Oh well
