(no subject)
So today, clean clothes and all...I go to work. 9am-5pm, I was there the entire time...with Ben. Ben's the new pharmacist. Ben's been in the pharmacy maybe 3 times, and very new (just graduated in May). Which I shouldn't say anything b/c that'll be me in 3 years too, but still. It was only him and I and I've only been there 2 weeks myself...kinda scary, I don't know what I'm doing and I know a heck of a lot more than Ben it seems. The scariest part, he's there alone tomorrow! (I don't think he really knows how to run the register yet). Pharmacy is actually kind of a scary job in a way, not necessarily like stress/pressure of an emergency room. But if you have people in a hurry, scripts piling up, problems to deal with...it's easy to make mistakes and those mistakes could be life-threatening. I'm confident in our work, but I guess I'm still used to Bernie's nit-pickiness, that Ben's lax attitude just kinda makes me nervous. Maybe it's that I don't fully trust myself. So it was a long day, and even with the Husker game quite busy, and definitely had one lady mad at us for an incident yesterday. I wasn't there, I didn't do it, but I still gotta deal with it...always fun.
Came home, beat, trying to decide if I should study for an hour or sleep. Sleep tried to win, til I got a phone call. Talked to Anna for a while, who's already asking me about med chem...I haven't even gotten a change to start thinking about that yet! Met up with Julia, Megan, Sarah, Frances, Mick and Jared for dinner. It was fun, but I was just too tired to really fully enjoy myself...plus I don't know the guys well, but it worked. Zio's was followed by a trip to Heartland of America Park, which couldn't have been made complete without trying to catch fish and wading in the lake (that would be Mick and Sarah). That water is SO gross, but it was quite funny to see them actually get in it (is that even legal?). Left Sarah's apt. not knowing if I'll see Frances again tomorrow or not, or when I'll even see her again, even if I didn't get to see her much or really talk to her, it was still good to see her. I miss her! Tomorrow's the crunch time though, the presentation and quiz must be done, they're due tomorrow...
But first thing's first, Church in the morning! I'm excited, Becca's joining Anna and I this week. And Monica and Todd are coming too:D
