(no subject)
I'm writing this quickly before I go to the library since I have vowed to write in Livejournal more.
I was just on facebook looking at all the groups for Va Tech. It's so sad. My uncle went to school there and I was supposed to travel there last year for a livestock judging contest. Emily, the first person shot, was an Animal Science Student. I know this doesn't connect me too much, but I went to a large university where this could have easily happened as well. This really made me think about how open the whole OSU campus is. I have also considered how easy it would be for someone to become a loner, mentality ill, or just plain stressed out and nothing ever be done about it. I am done with college, but I can't imagine having gone to class on Tuesday. The way they describe the building the majority of the shootings happened in sounds very similiar to several buildings on the OSU campus. I can't miagine the way the students at Virginia Tech must feel right now and i feel bad.
Also, on a side note why do things like this always happen around my birthday? OK City bombing, columbine, etc, and now this.
