Not thinking about Monday. Instead, I will focus on the good: BOOKS!
I dropped $70 at the bookstore yesterday, and my loot included Parables of the Sower by Octavia Butler, which is one of my favorite SF books, Sapphistries: A Global History of Love Between Women, which looks intriguing and academic, a yoga book and mat (I might start going to the yoga class at my church), and a neat present for an artist friend: an artist's moveable wooden model of a dog. *grins*
I also went to the library, and picked up Faking It by Jennifer Crusie, one of my main comfort reads, Wireless by Charles Stross, a collection of short stories, and Stone Gods, a new book by Jeannette Winterson!
And I decided that I'm going to bring An Island Out of Time: A Memoir of Smith Island in the Chesapeake to school to read during lunch. My lovely girlfriend
marathoner452 gave me the book for Christmas, and it's perfect to dip into for a bit and relax in the middle of a stressful schoolday.
