"Everything is for sale."

I would be doing a new play in February. I originally wanted to be a set design apprentice but I was told earlier this week that I'm one of the dramaturgs instead, i.e. the people responsible for doing the necessary background research for the play. I was cool with this because it's kind of related to playwriting and because it means I wouldn't have to be in rehearsals all the time which means I can focus on my thesis and still continue working. However, I found out last night during the first reading that I'm also part of the ensemble which means I would be acting as well. Normally, I would be over the moon about it, but strangely, I'm not. I guess I just really want to concentrate on my thesis. Still, it's not like I have a choice. And besides, it's still a privilege.
