AN : Actually, this is the FIRST fic I made a months ago, before I made ‘We Are Shining Stars’ or ‘The Ghost’ but I don’t post it in LJ. I felt hesitant at first to post this, so I keep it in my laptop. But a few days ago when I search randomly in my harddisk, I remembered again about this fic and decided to post it as YAMA-CHAN 20th birthday. I have edited in some parts and make this as a chapter fic (before it’s a very very loooonng oneshot). So, this is my gift for our cute and chibi Yamada Ryosuke. Hope all of you enjoy it ^_^
CHAPTER 8
Chinen looked at the figure lying helplessly in the hospiral bed. The infusion still attached at Ryosuke’s arm, and Oxygen mask in his lower face. He looked sadly at his friend. Chinen remembered when he first time met with Ryosuke, at Junior time. Ryosuke wasn’t a cheerful kid, and he won’t talk if no one ask him. But, slowly he become a cheerful kid and can smile because his friend’s pure feeling toward him.
Yuto entered the room, and sit beside Chinen. This afternoon just Yuto and Chinen can visited Ryosuke in hospital. Ryosuke is still unconscious. Yuto looked at the corner of the room, there are a lot of gift and flowers seems delivered by Ryosuke’s fans. This morning, the news about Ryosuke being attacked spread really fast and become a headline in Japan, and that makes a lot of reporter surrounding Tokyo hospital now, to get the news. The management is trying to give a good explanation about Ryosuke’s condition and what happened to him this morning, but it seems those reporter don’t get enough information so they still surrounding this hospital to get more information and because of that, Yuto must entered the hospital through the back door, so he won’t facing those reporter.
“Ne Yuto, what will happen next?” Suddenly Chinen asked him. Yuto, confused with his question so he just asked him back, “What do you mean Chii?”
“What will happen next with Yama-chan? How his feeling when he knows about his brother? His mother already died and maybe later his brother will left him too, even he is not find his father yet. Will he lost his smile because of that? Honestly, If I must experienced all of that, maybe I can’t endure it. So, how about Yama-chan?” Chinen asked, a tear can be seen in the corner of his eyes. Yuto seems thinking about Chinen’s words. His mind is back to 9 years ago, when the first time he knew Ryosuke.
***Yuto’s Flashback***
Today Yuto come home a bit late, because earlier he had his extra time to practice at Jimusho. 3 days later, he will become a back dancer in ARASHI KAT-TUN concert. Yuto don’t want to make a mistake, although he just a back dancer, because the chance to perform in the stage it’s not come twice.
When he out from Jimusho, the sun already set. At that time, he sees a boy that seems he is one of Johnys Jr. When Yuto pay attention again to that boy, he knows that boy. While smile a bit, then he fastened his steps until he is in the same steps with the boy.
“You’re Yamada-kun deshou? You are going to home late too?” Yuto asked. The boy seems shock when someone call him, moreover that called him is Nakajima Yuto. Nakajima Yuto is a famous junior among junior and even Ryosuke is older than him, but he respect Yuto so much and considered him as Ryosuke’s senpai.
“Ha..Hai!” Ryosuke answer nervously. Yuto just smiled at that, he thinks that Ryosuke is cute when he nervous like that. “I am Nakajima Yuto. Do you mind if I go home together with you?” Yuto ask again, and Ryosuke just nodded. Then they walk toward their home.
Yuto become curious with the boy beside him. Since they walk together, Yuto always talk to him and ask anything to him, but Ryosuke never try to talk first and won’t talk if Yuto not ask him. Moreover, he never sees Ryosuke smile, and he become curious about it. Finally, Yuto decided to befriend with Yamada Ryosuke.
Slowly, they become closer. Ryosuke always suport Yuto before he is in stage, but he is still rare to smile. Even he will smile when someone ask him, and it’s a forced smile, not a sincere one.
One time, Ryosuke get a job to become a back dancer in KAT-TUN concert. Before the concert begin, Ryosuke seems nervous. He squeeze his hands and sweat starting to roll down from his forehead. Seeing at that, Yuto come closer to him.
“Yama-chan, daijobu?” Yuto ask. Ryosuke looked at Yuto, then he whispered into Yuto’s ear so only Yuto can hear him. “I am afraid Yuto. I am afraid I will make a mistake on the stage.” He said. Yuto just smiling hearing that. He understand it, because he also ever felt it.
“Ne, Yama-chan, do you know an useful method, that makes you won’t make a mistake on the stage?” Yuto asked him back. Ryosuke just raised his eyebrows, sign that he is confused with Yuto’s words. “You just need to smile.” Yuto answered him gently.
“Smile from your heart, a sincere one, not a force one. Feel your freedom when you on stage, and feel that all your dream comes true, and you will be relax on the stage.” Yuto said again.
Ryosuke just silence to hear that, until the time that he must stand on the stage. That concert in Tokyo Dome filled with thousands of KAT-TUN’s fans. Ryosuke really nervous when he sees a lot of fans come. Thousand pairs of eyes seems to looked at him, want a perfection from him. When the song begin, Ryosuke begin to motion his body according the choreographer had teach him. He remembered Yuto’s word at the back stage, to smile. ‘feels like all your dreams comes true’ then Ryosuke imagine him self meet with his father, and all his family become together again. Suddenly he feels a comfort feeling, and his lips curved form a wide smile. A sincere smile, a cheerful smile, and not a forced one. This is the first time Ryosuke smiling lke that. Then Ryosuke success doing the dance until finish, without a single mistake. Yuto, seeing that from the backstage just smile cheerfully.
“Apparently, he is an interesting boy. I don’t know that his smile really make him looked cute and sweet like that.” Yuto murmured.
Finally, since that time, Ryosuke starting to learn how to smile from bottom of his heart. Step by step, in the end, Ryosuke become a cheerful kid with the help of Yuto and his seven friends in JUMP.

Yuto’s back his mind to present time. He always smile when remembered his story when he met Ryosuke 9 years ago. Then he patted Chinen’s shoulder.
“Chii, didn’t you remember when the first time we met with Yama-chan, he wasn’t a cheerful kid. He never smile. Did you remember it?” Yuto ask, and Chinen just answered him with a nodded. “But, he can changed, because we helped him deshou? We accept him just the way he is and trust him fully. Finally he can trust us too, deshou?” Yuto continued and again, Chinen just nodded.
“So, Chii, what will happen next, although it’s hard for us and for Yama-chan too, we must believe that he can through all of this. He is strong person, we must believe him. Just with that we can support him.” Yuto said. Hearing that, Chinen just wiped his tears.
“You’re right Yuto. We must believe him.” Chinen said while smiling toward Yuto.
Yuto nodded, and when he looked at the sleeping figure, he sees that Ryosuke’s finger move, then slowly his eyes open.
“Yu..to? Chii..?” Ryosuke murmured weakly, make Yuto and Chinen widened their eyes. “Finally! You’re awake!” they said in unison after regained their composure. Chinen then press the emergency button beside Ryosuke’s bed and not long after that the doctor and nurse come to Ryosuke’s room. they examined Ryosuke’s condition and Chinen and Yuto wait outside. While waiting, Yuto informed that Ryosuke finally awake to the other members and also Miura. JUMP members immediately come to hospital after heard that news.
“How is Ryosuke’s condition, sensei?” Yabu ask, when he arrive at hospital.
“He is fine. If in this few days there aren’t complication sign, he will be discharged soon.” The doctor in charge answered him, while smiling. Then, he left all of them.
Yabu and the others then entered Ryosuke’s room. They can see Ryosuke smile toward them. The other just reply his smile with a worried face. “How are your feeling?”ask Inoo gently. “Better..” Ryosuke just reply weakly. Indeed he need more rest. He still pretty weak.
“Yama-chan, you’re success to make us worried like hell.” Hikaru said while smiling, showed his double teeth and Ryosuke reply with a smile too. “Gomen ne..for make you worried.” Ryosuke said with guilty tone.
“It’s no problem. Seeing you fine and safe make us happy.” Keito said gently, make the younger boy smile a bit. Ryosuke try to sit up with Yuto’s help. He is wincing a bit because of pain in his stomach.
“I hope you recovery faster Yama-chan. Because it’s so lonely if you’re not arround. it’s just Dai-chan that makes a mess, so I kinda felt it strange because you two usually make a mess in home.” Inoo said, resulted a whacked on his head by Daiki. The others just laughed at that.
“Minna..” Ryosuke suddenly called them, make they stop their laugh.
“Doushita no, Yama-chan?” Yuya ask.
“My brother, where is he?” Ryosuke ask. Hearing that question, all of them fell into silence. Earlier, Yabu had inform Miura that Ryosuke already awake, and he really feel relieved to hear that. But, as Miura’s wish this morning, he won’t come to visit Ryosuke for a while.
“Anoo..Actually Miura nii-chan is busy. He came earlier Yama-chan but you still unconscious.” Yuto answered following by nodded from the others. Ryosuke just silence, thinking that maybe his brother still mad at him. Actually he miss his brother so much. Then he lokked at his friends.
“Minna, arigatou.” He said, and replied with a warm smile by his friends.
