I guess it might have rained earlier this week. I cannot remember because the beautiful sun we had today etched it from my mind. Today was certainly as nice a day as any ever. I puttered in the yard nailing this to that. Yesterday was a touch grayer. I was glad to have the shade to cut the glare out on the water. I managed to get out and surf a bunch this week. I am thankful for my flexible schedule. The sand bar at Camel has been hinky since the big storm a couple of weeks ago. Normally mainly a right going spot the rights have been closing out without mercy. There has been a somewhat hollow little left. Yesterday I surfed the spot with two other happy guys for about two hours before the crowd showed up and choked off the fun. The fun part of the left is that it ends in the channel where the riptide takes you right back out to the top of the peak. I got a ridiculous number of tries at this wave and made a few good rides. This made me happy as left is really not my best side and this wave has been tricky. Once the rights open back up I will be better on them.
