Plan alterations
Some wrenches have been thrown in the Gimli-Coronation plans, but I think I am on the way to developing a new Plan, the essential elements of which are:
I will drive to Nordskogen alone after work on Thursday and crash with local folks.
Friday morning we will drive up to Gimli and I will be working like a crazed maniac on a Seekrit Projeckt until my fingers bleed.
Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday: Gimli!
Monday: drive back to the Twin Cities with the carpool, skipping the planned stop-over in Winnipeg.
Monday night-Wednesday morning: Hang out in the Cities or somewhere between the Cities and Bemidji.
Wednesday afternoon: Drive to Bemidji
Wednesday night-Thursday: Teach some classes, hang out with the Orlova Dolina folks, probably sit in the hot tub, sip some Scotch
Friday: Help set up Coronation, settle into the cabin
Saturday: Coronation:
Sunday: Head home, collapse.
So, I'll have about a day and a half in the Twin Cities - I have an IKEA gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket and it is heresy to visit the TC without stopping at SR Harris, so those are likely stops. Anyone want to hang out or have other suggestions of what to do?
