GEOGRAPHY FAIL.
Actually Google Maps has been doing that a lot. Someone posted on my LJ a link to an article on the war, and the byline was Java, Georgia.
Apparently there's a town called Java in Georgia, USA too, and that's where the Google Map was pointing.

Oh my, when I read that the US support in Georgia contributed towards the war (or is it still a situation?) with Russia I totally thought it was the Georgia like next door to Armenia and Uzbekistan.
