Well, today's the day I've been waiting months for!!! The day when playoff hockey FINALLY begins!!! WAHOO!!! I'm obviously picking the Flyers to win...and the question is in how many? I'm willing to give Toronto some credit and say it'll be a six game series--not that the Flyers couldn't do it in a sweep...but I'm just trying to be a bit practical. That'll make me $3 for the series...a dollar for every win and one for the series...meaning the debt-o-meter will be gone soon...especially with this Phillies DOMINATING!!! WAHOO for me!!! Well, I met with my War and Conflict teacher today...he was sooo much smaller than I had thought, I've never stood right next to him, and when I went to talk to him I was way bothered by how small he really was, usually when he stands in front of the class he seems so much bigger, especially talking about something like war it just seemed like he should be bigger oh well...anyway...well, I was talking to him about my India-Pakistan paper...about how to solve the Kashmir conflict, well, that was something. The paper in itself is rather crazy. Trying to solve the problem in under 2000 words when people who have studied the conflict for years still have no viable solutions to the problem, that just seems a bit absurd. I actually was quite interested in this assignment...one day when I'm president I'm going to solve these crazy problems...but for now, I think trying to come up with the answer is quite difficult, I came up with some ideas which he said were quite good, but the practicality of both sides being willing to work together after they've devoted so much time to the problem, not to mention lives, is almost as difficult a situation as trying to get the Israel conflict resolved. But when I'm talking to my teacher he's like you need to define "best" cause the assignment is just to come up with the best solution...and this is when he tells me he really doesn't see any solution to the problem in real life, so maybe in an ideal world the answers in my paper would be the best solution...but he then tells me that I could say that in my paper, but he would prefer me not to...okay...so this guy who has studied war and conflict...hence the name of the class...and their trends says there's not a viable option as of now...but I'm supposed to come up with it??? That's craziness at its fullest. If I really had the ability to create world peace I don't think I'd be sitting here right now wasting my time rambling on. Oh well...that just was a bit crazy. Yup Yup...and he goes on to be like the real problem here as opposed to anywhere else which makes it the most dangerous area is the nuclear weapons both countries have...well, so I ask cause we've talked about all different statistics about the likelihood for countries to go to war with each other before and all kinds of actually really interesting stuff...but so I ask him if there are any historical examples of two hostile neighboring countries with nukes and what does he go on and ramble about? Russia and the US...okay...so Alaska and East Russia are near each other okay...but he spends like 15-20 minutes telling me about this native clan of people who were split into the two countries when the US got Alaska...and how they can travel back and forth without passports and all...oh my!!! Huh Huh!!! Well, really nothing interesting today...I just was bored and figured you must be bored if you're reading this, so I'd be solving two problems at once...on my road to solving all of the other problems in the world....have to start somewhere I suppose!!!
Bye!!
Have a FANTASTIC FLYERS DAY!!! WAHOO!!!
