Well, well. This week is going to be quite nice for little ol' me. Yup yup. I had a half day today and then I have off on Thursdays as normal...but I'm also giving myself off on Friday...how nice am I??? I have to go to some tea party...iced tea (with cookies)...at my little sister's school cause she wrote a biography on none other than me. Surprisingly, this is the first biography on me so far. Believe it or not, authors have not been banging on my door to write all about me and to hear all the stories I don't really have to tell...but one day, they'll be sorry. Sure. I had one of my last classes today...once again...thank goodness. They're just too long and boring. Ugh. We ended up being kept there for like an extra 20 minutes...I always hate that when you're already watching the clock, waiting for it to get to the end and they just continue to go on and on and on. And then to top it off when we got out, it was POURING!!! But oh well.
We actually had a bit of an interesting conversation which came after Saturday was mentioned (I can't bring myself to say the dreaded words)...but we were all talking about how some of us weren't even born the last time Philly had any kind of championship and how other cities (Boston, Chicago) are always talked about in regards to their fans still waiting...yes, Boston still is haunted by the Curse, but they had the Patriots win the Super Bowl which should keep them happy. And Chicago...need I say more than Jordan? Come on. What city does is it a bummer to be a fan of more than here? Not to say it's a bad thing to be a fan here, just whenever we're on the brink of success...things just don't work out...this Smarty Jones had better come on through (how sad is that, the entire city is captivated by a horse...we're willing to celebrate any win at this point) And the horse's owner won't even say they're from Philadelphia and say the horse isn't a Philadelphia horse rather he's from whatever neighborhood exactly it is just to avoid the dreaded cloud of doom the city seems to bring over any potential champion...geez...let's see if the hottest team in baseball can put a stop to this come October...
Oh, and for those of you who thought less of me for liking the Hansen song...I don't feel quite as bad about it now...The CD-though I don't know about the particular song-has received the approval of the amazingly talented Adam Duritz, so I can proudly...well, I don't know if I'd go that far...say I like the song...
Well have a WONDERFUL rest of the Week!!!
