Goodbye Atlantis

I just watched the last episode of Stargate Atlantis. Can't believe it's all over. And can't believe it ended up like this. There are still a lot of questions that haven't been answered. I just hope they will answer some of them in their new... what, spin-off of a spin-off of a spin-off? *rolls eyes* But there were moments I really liked in this episode that would not be possible if it wasn't the last ep. This whole idea of having Atlantis to come home after all those years, having all three ZedPMs, that Wormhole Drive... The last one is my favourite, actually. :) Too bad they didn't let us see how it all looked like when activated. I was kinda expecting something similar to Stargate effect, only in space. I don't know, like a subspace window with stargate's event horizon? Damn, now I'm gonna dream about this! I've always been a geek obsessed with vehicles, vessels... cities, flying in space... *ROFL* Well, what else... oh, the fact that it actually had to be Carson in the Chair, it was so freaking amazing! For one thing, he came back once again, that alone is worth almost anything, 'cause I missed him an awful lot. And plus, his character really deserved it - sitting in the Chair and flying the city I mean - even if he wasn't all that happy about it. *smirks* I loved the determined look on his face when he ented the Chair room. That was awesome, really. Then again, when Carson wasn't? *g* What am I talking about? All of them were awesome. Sheppard and McKay, Ronon and Teyla, Carter and Davis, Woolsey and Zelenka, Lorne and Amelia and pretty much everyone else. God, how I'm gonna miss them... I wish there were 5 more seasons of SGA, just like in SG-1. *sigh* But yeah, you can't always get what you want. So I'm saying goodbye to Stargate Atlantis, the show I was reluctant to watch at first, but quickly fell in love with. I doubt the same thing will happen with this new show of theirs. I watched SG-1 mostly because of Daniel Jackson. I watched SGA only because of Rodney McKay. And somehow I don't think they will be able to create yet another character I would love as much as I love those two.
