Of Late
My 5x10 DVD Finally arrived! *jumps up and down* Just in time too, I was about to lose my composure and start downloading stuff for a preview after seeing so much 5x10 DVD related stuff on all the Arashi comms.
Here's a shot of the DVD (taken with my Kokuritsu charm for good measure) and the poster that's included with it. I would have scanned the latter, but it was too big for my scanner.
So. Shiny! To be honest, the DVD cover image is a little bit too tacky for my liking. Come on, this is their ten-year anniversary concert, JStorm! You could do better than that! Seriously, a half-hearted collage? It looks like something I can put together in less than an hour on InDesign. What's more, the white spaces between pictures aren't aligned correctly, which makes things look messy and half-finished. Even if you want to get the message of "Arashi is still a work in progress" across to the customers, you don't do that by having your cover designer slacking off. A few un-aligned edges is okay if you don't have a lot of images and want to give off a slightly funky feel, but with that many pictures on the page and half of the edges aligned... Just adjust the size of the picture frame and move things around, damn it! You could always resize the original when things come to it, it's not like they are so low-quality that they will turn grainy if you adjust anything.

I have a feeling that I will need tissues, if all the concert repo I've read and 5x10 in and of itself is any indication. And what's more, is it 明日に向かって I see before me in the song list for Disc 2? OMG, memories... That song will always make me think of the bygone days of the Sugao series, 8J, and the times they sang it together on Music Station. Everything's different now, even the remaining ones have gone their separate ways, but at least our Arashi five are still on that stage, singing the same song... なんか、哀しいけど、ちょっとうれしい。Because at least they're still together.
Off to finish my proposal for my major now so that I could watch the DVD as soon as possible. *squee*
