CES Day 2
Appologies for not posting yesterday meetings went till midnght and I had a 7am session.
CES is an overpowering and some what crazy experiance. Its toys and gadgets as far as the eye can see....ocassionaly with a booth babe or some other crazy idea to get your attention.
So far the press feels the hot item from the show is a smaller taser that comes in sexy colors....Um yeah not so exciting to me but hey.
Interesting things so far.
XBOX 360 now serves linear channels just like your direct tv box......OMG crazy
Add this to the new HP server and your mind blows
HP server is a NAS on sterioids using a new variant of Windows Vista. It comes with 1 Tera of storage and can upgrade to 4...that is one hell of a lot of media I tell you. The server automaticaly detects all your windows vista and XP hosts. It backs them up with daily deltas and allows you to reimage a computer back to its format all the way back for up to a year. Everything reg keys and all. Really amazing
Microsoft is really moving to become a full home solution
HP and Best Buy had an amazing demo of a service/software/hardware combo plater that makes home automation easy and cheap? (15K gets you one 42inch screen and everything you need to run a 2500 square foot home) I will say it was wild to look at.
I spent alot of time looking at screens yesterday
100 inches or greater screens OMG amazing. The one of the largest was a disapointment becuse I could see a seam down the middle of the screen....made me sad.
LG has a screen that was showing a woman getting a massage (gotta love being in LV) what was amazing was at 50 inches I was able to see every hair, every folical, and all the little traped bubbles in the ooze they put on her. Oh and I can tell you she was having goose piples and she has a birthmark on her knee. I was amazed at the clarity.

I got to see Asimo in action.....ROBOTS ARE COOL
I saw some new periferals for the Wii. It was cool to see a Wii remote put in a baseball bat and a racket. I am waiting for the one in the handle of your Katana ;)
I know this is not the most exciting post but I have to be out the door in 5 minutes.....meeting meetings and more meetings.
I took pictures and will post them soon....I am hoping I will not get in to late.
