I'm invested in iKON now. Basically, I'm a YG stan.
So this will be the next boy band YG debuts and I'm thinking ... isn't it a little too early considering WINNER just released their first album ? I must say I'm amazed YG actually gave them a full-length feature. I thought that he would at best allow them an EP. Surprise !
NOT - YG is still a troll.
Cause this new survival reality prog sees the arrival of 3 new members - in a staggered fashion. (Talk about Mix & Match ! Yet another marketing gimmick to me ... Wonder how much he was paid to do up this show.) And now the deal is this: my faves (B.I. - I never know where to punctuate his initials - and Bobby) and Jin Hwan are the confirmed trio of septet to debut - the rest risk being eliminated. Which sucks.
But it's all about ratings on Mnet, ain't it ? (LOL I'M NOT GONNA LIE THE REALITY WE LIVE IN IS THE ACTUAL FREAKING SHOW)
Ultimately, I hope that the new boy band will be all that YG hypes it out to be. I think 2 of the old members are very likely to get in (Jun Hwe & Yun Hyeong). Dong Hyuk seems like a pretty weak link to me, considering he himself admitted that he was the last to enter Team B. He'll have a lot to prove to fight it out with the other 3.
Meanwhile I'm just enjoying the show because that's what the audience is supposed to do.
And because my bigger concern is not really iKON but WHEN THE HELL IS THE NEW GIRL GROUP HAPPENING OR WHAT
I wanna see some 2NE1-hoobaes in action, damnit. Don't rain on my parade anymore, YG !!!
