What a realisation - I mean, she does care for the king and she wouldn't think of harming him (directly). And now her dad has actually been recruiting a shaman to cast spells on her husband. Wow. Still, she follows in his footsteps - there she goes over the thin line, from spunky to silly.
I don't blame Shaman #1 at all - she didn't want to harm Yeon Woo, so she decided to right her wrongs, by saving her life.
Dun dun dun. Commence fear of lovely couple breaking up.
Plus Idol Scholar is pretty lousy with a weapon, as demonstrated by his younger practice sessions with Woon.

Just devastated when she died. Seol was supposed to be a kick ass female warrior, fiercely loyal to Yeon Woo and fiercely in love with Idol Scholar. Then this happens - she just died too easily. It wasn't even a proper sent off ! Where was Jan Shil (who although was often reprimanded by her, still adored her big sister) and Shaman #1 (who still took pity of her and took her in) ??? They just sat in a distance in the moonlight, tearing at what they saw in their mind's eye. Like WTF. Seriously, Seol is so pitiful.
Yet another pitiful person.

His last memory of Yeon Woo .... That made me cry, for the third time in this entire show. Going back to a beautiful, yet horribly painful memory of his. To remember his love and to recall that she refused to leave with him. So, he decided to leave. Leave for someplace better. While she remains alive.

Idol Scholar not that smart after all. In fact, 8 years down the road has apparently dulled his senses and whatever intellect he was supposed to possess.

Some light-hearted moments with my favourite dude in this entire show (NO KIDDING).
Meanwhile, the king's aide hides in the corner, jamming away on the string instrument to provide them with sexy BGM (LOLWUT).
Yeah, glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. Only, it got more obvious as the show went on. When the past slowly came to light, people who knew stuff had to be killed. First to go were the spectators of the whole affair, than the x slowly closed around the masterminds of the dirty deed. I mean, the last 2 episodes was just death of female lead's good friend, death of Grandma, death of the Queen, death of her dad, death of Yang Myung, death of ... I can't remember, just too many dead people to be bothered, really.
It really felt like death was the quickest way to wrap things up and move on. So I felt less and less for this show, really. No closure whatsoever, even with death.
Kinda thought he would've died while protecting the king in battle. Turns out it was just a supposedly saintly way to go.
SO UNCONVINCING !!!
I'm uber done with this drama.
