Slackeriffic
Went out drinking for guys night last night. So I didn't watch the Debate. Luckily my lovely, talented (and tolerant) soon to be wife DVR'd it so i will watch it tonight. I'm also very proud of her for watching it in the first place since she's not a political type.
Last night at Max's in Fels Point we met an Obama supporter from Philly and had a good conversation with him. At Batemans in ( I think ) Bel Aire I met his opposite, our bartender was a McCain supporter who oddly enough agreed a lot with what I had to say - but still supported torture and indefinite detainment because it was 'justified' by 9/11. That's not something I can agree with. Maybe once my headache goes away I'll explain why.
I'd also like to say at this point that I've seen so many people talking about the debate and taking an interest in the political process. I'm proud of all of you, especially fireyirishangel and admiringbog. The fact that you all care and you're all paying attention gives me hope that no matter which butt occupies the Resolute Desk, We the People can get this nation back on track. Because ultimately it is up to US to do so. So, good on ya peeps. Fight the power.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go back to nursing my hangover.
