Day 19: A minor character you wish got more time to shine
Emelan:
Rosethorn got her part in "The Healing in the Vine" (and hopefully will get more in future books), and as therefore she's not all that "minor" anymore I'll go with Lark. Lark's the one that is provided with some sparks of a past that's actually quite contrary to her current tasks, responsibilities and maybe even personality. I'd love to read more about her, as her past hints that she can't be this thoroughly good warm patient person that's so close to boring that we rarely get thoughts/inner sights of her. She's the supporter and the ground many of the characters can build their strengths on, but I'd love to see behind those attributes of hers and catch more personality.
(But, remember, I've still got 3 more books to read, with many more characters to pop up.)
Tortall:
Farmer? Not really minor, but I'd have loved to read more about him.
Raoul, all the time.
On another note: The more Emelan books I read, the more some questions/topics to talk about pop up in my head. Brooding over formulations for the GLake boards. Can't post it now though, as I'll probably be flooded with spoilers in no time... Sigh... Finished Cold Fire this morning and will have to wait until I return home on sunday night to go on reading.
