The past few days have been pleasant.
Catherine Breillat's Sex is Comedy is a fantastic film that provokes some interesting thoughts. Much better than Anatomy of Hell.
The other movie that I saw this weekend, Sin City, is also fantastic, but for different reasons. I loved its unique style and commitment to form.
For my "culture and catastrophe" class I am reading Tony Kushner's drama Angels in America, and it's the best thing I've read in quite some time. If you pick it up, you won't be disappointed.
Now, I must write papers. (so much for pleasant)
[as I was going to post this my door exploded with knocking and I was rushed to Cold Stone in the torrential downpour to get some delicious ice cream. good times]
For real now. Work.
