[It's late at night at the hospital. Klavier's asleep... but not very solidly. His hair is a mess, his face is tear-stained, and he's curled up, whimpering.]
[He's also muttering things in German, something along the lines of 'stop' and 'please, don't'. Klavier's flickering between the first and second levels, so anyone is free to ask wtf is going
who needs sleep?,
nightmares,
no rest for the wicked,
no sleep for the innocent

I'm fine. [Yes. Fine, even though her lab coat was shredded, her hands looked like they had blood on them and her face was pretty dirty.] I'll be fine. I should really be looking for some equipment to test these samples but...I doubt that's going to be of any use.

The structure of some buildings...they seemed to deteriorate at an alarming rate. They're collapsing quickly too. I passed buy a building with a balcony. It looked pretty unstable...I didn't want to risk staying by it...
[rubs cheek unconsciously, not thinking about the cut at all]

[rubs temples, slightly irritated] Scientifically speaking the chance that this is merely a mass hallucination is one in one million. It's very rare an entire population of people will both disappear and dream up the same events.
Technically, this is all very real and our lives are at risk. The pain, the emotional trauma... it's going to stick with us for quite a while.
