1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?: Completed a year of studying abroad, planning a wedding, getting married
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?: I don't really believe in New Years resolutions. I try to constantly set goals for myself.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?: Josh's close friends gave birth to an adorable little boy. It was also nice getting constant updates as Hayley's sister got more and more pregnant and gave birth to the cutest little girl.
4. Did anyone close to you die?: No
5. What countries did you visit?: Israel, Italy, Denmark, and US should just about count since half of my year was spent abroad
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?: A wonderful husband, an apartment with him, and the knowledge (or perhaps hope) that we will never have to be separated for a long time again.
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?: August 5-- my wedding day, and May 15, the day I finally returned from Israel
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?: Finishing my year abroad, planning a beautiful wedding (and getting out of it alive)
9. What was your biggest failure?: Not making enough time to spend with friends and family, not taking every opportunity to learn about my past failures and build bridges in the place of walls.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?: Josh jokes that I have "Cassi-itus)
11. What was the best thing you bought?: 2 beautiful tallitot-- one for myself and the other as a wedding gift for Josh

Whose behavior merited celebration?: Josh, for supporting me an encouraging me every step of the way this year; our parents for being fantastic about the wedding planning process; my bridesmaids for throwing me the best ever bachelorette party, and being the best bridesmaids anyone could ask for, Hayley for keeping me sane in Israel, Mary for continually suprising me
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?: My aunt Cindy's and her guest that she invited to the wedding
14. Where did most of your money go?: Plane fair, honeymoon, wedding, moving into a new apartment
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?: My wedding day, coming back from Israel, and the fun new years celebration we have coming up
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?: Happier
ii. thinner or fatter?: I think about the same. Maybe gained 3 or 4 pounds.
iii. richer or poorer?: Getting more and more in debt as school progresses...
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?: Spending time with friends and family-especially Josh
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?: Sweating the small stuff
20. How will you be spending Christmas?: I did what many Jews do- went to the movies.
21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2007?: The craziest thing was being given the run around by security in Milan, Italy because they thought my Shofar was a weapon. The pilot eventually kept it up front with him for the whole fight, and called the police for permission to give it to me once we landed in NY!
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?: More and more each day
23. How many one-night stands?: Um.. none.
24. What was your favorite TV program?: Grey's Anatomy
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?: Hate is a strong word. There are a few people I am no longer interested in having a relationship with.
26. What was the best book you read?: As A Driven Leaf was a very good book.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?: Diana Krall
28. What did you want and get?: A beautiful wedding, a nice apartment in Astoria
29. What did you want and not get?: A new, better paying job for Josh
30. What was your favorite film of this year?: I was in Israel much of the year, and therefore saw very few movies. Juno was pretty good.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?: I turned 25, and celebrated by going out with Hayley for dinner at T'mol Shimshom by Ben Yehuda Street, and then out with a bunch of HUC friends on King George Street in Jerusalem. Then I came home and spoke to Josh for a while.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?: Spending all of it living in the same country as Josh
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?: Comfort prevails--and I better wear sleaves unless I want sleezy men to hiss at me.
34. What kept you sane?: A great husband, wonderful friends, positive feedback, and the knowledge that I am doing something I have wanted to do for a very long time.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?: Have you met me?
36. What political issue stirred you the most?: Mostly Israeli political issues
37. Who did you miss?: Too many people to count
38. Who was the best new person you met?: Jerry Weider. He has become a great mentor for me
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007: For some issues any answer is half right and half wrong. The best thing to do is accept that.
