Christmas post!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
It turns out "Santa" will likely be bringing me a plane ticket to Florida! (I must have been good this year.)
I'm done with all my Christmas shopping and even got to see my four closest friends from high school yesterday. We're going to have a Christmas (actually, after-Christmas,) party between now and New Year's, and I volunteered to host it.
I didn't always realise this before, but I LOVE Christmas! I like my family's traditions of Christmas dinner of the most expensive steaks we can buy, Swedish meatballs, green bean casserole, bread, Christmas cookies, and (new this year) fresh pineapple, my favorite fruit, of belting out "Silent Night" in German while the rest of the church sings it in English and gives us weird looks, of going to the candlelight church service, of giving gifts to everyone, even the dog, and of opening the gifts on Christmas Eve and the stockings on Christmas morning.
Since it's Christmas, I even like helping make the meatballs, my favorite Christmas dish, (they're INCREDIBLE!), and even if it's just my parents and little brother around for Christmas dinner, I insist we eat in the dining room and set the table with china and candles.
I like Christmas and the traditions and all that. It's the people I don't always get on with.:P
P.S. yoursforever_me, thanks so much for the letter! It came just in time, there's a HUGE snowstorm all over the state and so the mail is stuck, but I got yours yesterday just as the snow started. :) Your handwriting is really cool-looking too, and thanks for your awesome words, what you said was so cool that I showed the letter to my church's youth director when we had coffee yesterday. And I'm saving it too. :)
