Oh!!! It's been quite a week!! Some how I can not believe that not more time has gone by....Last week then the weekend went a million miles an hour....I'm trying not to stop because the next 3 weeks are going to be the SAME!!
Last Wednesday I went to Muskegon to see friends and earn my way to WH. I made a deal with Husband and I showed him up in our challenge!! with help from friends!! Thank you so much! I'm planning on doing the same thing before FH. He doesn't mind me going...it's just that he can't stand the "prep" and the "clean up" I make sure to make up for it...if he's happy I'm happy...and we're all happy and happy is GOOD!
Wednesday brought a Friend home from Muskegon and we got to bed late, Husband in PA for over night. Got up at 6am to get kids to school...skipped workout for the rest of the week...went BACK TO BED!! the rest of the time until Friday at 1pm we sewed and sewed and sewed!! I learned a lot to help me sew better...it was great to work with someone to get things done.... taking turns on a garment...one was on the machine while the other was getting it ready to sew more...pinning and what not. Friday at 1pm I packed (I was mostly packed) got my kids from school and got them settled fed homework done.
Got on the road (a little later than we thought) but by 5pm we were on the road with Directions in hand!! constrution SUCKS! there were no exit markers on 94 west bound so we totally missed the exit...turned around it was dark....but we made it (after stopping to eat, go get food, filing up with gas)on site by like 10:00pm....I was not farmilliar with the site at all so I had no idea what I was doing.... found GM's, got checked in, went to the bathroom and found our cabin where we had bunks that were saved for us... THANK YOU!! Got dressed and got into game!!.... had a blast but I was sooo glad that I had on my very broken in and water proof hiking boots..... we WALKED it was .5 miles just to go from the Inn to the cabins, the Inn to NPC camp (they tell us that that will change for the next game though)...seemed the same distance to go to the car...one of the plots were nearly 6 miles long!! and no potty but the woods (which I did use) Caves were cool....fun role playing with the fisherman, and crazy Sally!! there were more than 1 NPC to every 2 PC's but it didn't feel like it really....It was kind of cool to have a small number of PC's but I hope that changes (the more the merrier) we had a Great chance to get to know the 4 "new" guys, and that is a major plus. All the PC's tried to get along for the most part...Except for Farak but what do expect from an Elf??
I never totally went unconsious but I came close....Thank you my 2 fighting friends!! I got caught alone (coming back just before game break)by a trap on the cabin door!! I'll never do that again, where's Alexander?? He'll open the door!!...I was tired and stupid. I'll admitt it... I don't need ANYONE to tell me.
Had to leave early to go to my nieces 5th birthday party(that was the deal with Husband)....soooo with like 4 hours of sleep (only 2 the night before!!and 2 the night before that!!) I set my alarm clock for 8:30am but GM's woke up earlier than that....got up, checked out and packed up....I felt like a princess though. Atreus had Khal's dwarven pony and took me and all my stuff to my car...helped me unload it...I can not thank them enough for that help!! With head pounding and eyes blurry I drove to the closest gas station and got a Lrg coffee and a Liter of water... I did have to stop on the way home to sleep...there was NO WAY I was getting all the way home the way I felt....popped an Iboprophen, drank some water and fell asleep for an hour. Felt great after that....flew home!! Just in time to unpack shower and get to nieces B-day only 30 min late(but that's normal for me)....only body present...my mind was back in WH hoping that my friends lived to see October's event at FH.
Going to Cedar Point this weekend....Holloweekends!! fun fun fun!!
