In Case You Missed It, Humanity Got It Right Yesterday.

This was a big thing where I live because we're so close to San Francisco, but I don't know if anyone outside of California heard of it, so I figured sharing it would remind all of us that people can be good sometimes.

Yesterday, the city of San Francisco was turned into Gotham City to fulfill the wish of a terminally ill child named Miles. Batkid, as he was called, was able to help Batman foil the plots of both the Penguin and the Riddler and got a key to the city, with thousands of volunteers cheering him on. He saved Gotham, and got a special message from the Big Guy himself. Even Jezebel was touched, and took the time from reporting how douchey Adam Levine is to share the story with their readership. I cried when I read the plans a few weeks ago, and I cried again watching everything on the news last night. It really shows what we can do when we embrace each other instead of fighting over petty things all the time.

EDIT: The cast of my next obsession Arrow (I already ship Felicity/Oliver and I haven't seen an episode) got in on the action. Thanks petzipellepingo for that link!

a+ for humanity
