So, it's been a while since I've written...got to get something in there or people are going to give up on me forever :)

It's finals week and that means rest and relaxation! One test (tomorrow, actually) and 2 take-home finals and that's my week! Classes finished Wednesday. That means that I get to relax and have fun for a bit before summer internship starts :)

So, my only real responsibility has been teaching dance. I like teaching, but I still get the feeling that I have no idea what I'm doing! I can elaborate on corrections form other teachers, and I can think up some interesting combinations, but when it comes to putting everything together, I'm still not sure. I'm worried that one of these days, they're going to actually want to watch one of my classes and they're going to wonder what they were thinking! It's still fun while it lasts, though!!! :) Gotta make the most of it.

This weekend, I went to Superstate. :) Talk about really having people scrutinize your teaching ability! You're up there in front, conducting your students. Any mistake you've made in teaching them is obvious and you still have to stand up there in front of them AND in front of the audience!! (thank goodness for ballet performances where the teacher's backstage).

It's so cute, though, because my parents love it! I think my dad still wishes he were up there in front of the band. Every year, they go and sit in the audience, whether they know anyone in the bands or not. My dad even takes notes (he could just as easily judge the groups). They were there from 8am until it finished nearly 12 hours later!!

Poor Urbana sounded absolutly wonderful, but the judges seemed to have been listening to something completly different. My parents both prefered Urbana and even my little sister (band dork extra-ordinaire) thought that Urbana sounded even better than it had when she was in it.

Off of that topic and on to my boyfriend's birthday!! His family, mine and our wonderful future roomies went out to dinner and had cake the next day. His sister got him the cutest shot glass and an awesome chair (with a cupholder to carry all the beer he'll start consuming after finals are over) ;) hehe I know he's stressed out from finals (poor thing), but I do believe his birthday helped to cheer him up. It's amazing how much it helps just to have lots of people remember and celebrate with you.

Fun fun and I could go on, but I've rambled long enough :) Hope everyone else is on their way to a good summer!!!
