New Looks

I'd forgotten.  Junky Spot seems to think UPS is a good way to send packages domestically.  Even though UPS is slower and more expensive and requires someone to be home and sign for the package.  Seriously stupid.  Post would have gotten my girl here by Wednesday.  And it probably would have been at least 5 bucks cheaper to ship.  Instead, I still don't have her.  She'll be here tomorrow.  I'm sorry, that's just fucking stupid.  I really have to remember this and if I ever order from them again, I gotta message them and see if there's any possibility that they can send by regular post.  It's less stupid.

But despite not having new Yaazi yet, my in house kids are keeping me entertained.  I took a few pictures of some of the new looks of my kids who got new stuff in.  Walter got his new eyes.  Still working on a wig.  Not sure where to go for a good boy blond wig - that's not a fur wig.

He's looking so pretty!  And...kind of young.  Currently, Walter is looking a good deal younger than his son.  Gonna need to work on that one...

I'd already shown pictures of Eilonwy with her new wig.  She got her new eyes last week, and I think I can actually consider Eilonwy done!

Her new purple eyes are a little dark - in some pictures they look almost closer to a brown that a purple, but you know, I think that makes sense.  I really think it works.  She really looks how I always imagined her to.  Tuesday, I brought her with me to the special showing of The Last Unicorn, and she got a lot of attention and they were comparing her with Lady Almalthea, seeing that she could pose as a cosplay of her!  Considering I had actually wanted to do that, but didn't have enough time to finish making a dress after having the idea late in the game, it was a real compliment for me.  I love that people loved her.

Finally, my MNF Elf Siean got a new faceup.  Malinda wasn't happy with how the old one looked, she wasn't happy with the lip color or how her eyebrows came out, so had me wipe her face and started anew.  Oh man.  Was it worth it!  She looks so fantastic!

I so love her!  Those are not her new eyes, though.  Or rather, those are not the eyes I bought for her.  The ones I got, although they were 12mms, they looked too big for her and the blue was much darker than I thought, making her eyes look almost the same color as her pupils.  But Malinda let me go through her eye box and we did a swap of stuff, so I got these eyes for her.  While they're not exactly the color I'd imagined for her, she looks so pretty in them!  Although I may eventually look for browns for her still, I really love these in her, and Malinda, after finishing her faceup, placed the eyes in her at this angle - she said to counteract how sweet she looked, to give her a bit more attitude.  I love it.

Yesterday we had our meet at Bethlehem Library and I took with me all those who were new or who had new things bought for them - and Konnel, because Malinda's Iris is a new Iris.  So I had Walter, Cardel, Eilonwy, the F60 Siean, the Soom Argil, the Soom Syen head, the mnf elf Siean (and apparently Malinda does not hear the difference in how I pronounce Siean and Syen and I now need to clarify which doll I'm talking about), the Doll Love Cecelia, Konnel (for Iris), and randomly Jurianna because she looked awesome.  Unfortunately I forgot my good camera and I'm unsure how the little Fuji camera did on taking pictures.  I haven't been home long enough this weekend to get to check them out.  In any case, I don't have many pictures of them meet, and probably none of them good, and I re-dressed the Siean.  As Malinda and I were taking our Celtic girls to the Celtic fest today (my Siean and her vamp elf Chloe), I thought I would put her in something appropriate for the fest.  At first, I put her in the black and white stripped leggings, a green skirt (from an old Girl Scouts porcelain doll), a black tank top, and a green beanie cap.  However, this made her look more Irish.  It always seems that when someone talks about Celtic people, or when dressing for something like this, it's usually Irish.  My girl is not Irish - she is Scottish.  (Way cooler, no matter what Malinda might say. lol)

So I got the idea to see what the Soom Mylo outfit looked like on her.  Granted, I knew it could possibly be a little loose on her, but with the wrap cloak, I though it might not matter.  Turns out, it looked awesome!  The Mylo outfit - which I bought from Malinda originally for Illyriel, my Sueve - kind of has a Roman look to it, which was an influence on the dress of the Scottish people.  It's a similar style, so I thought it would look quite tribally.  She looks so cool in it, and all she'd need is some kind of weapon; a claymore, a mace, a lyre (yes, I said a lyre as a weapon, she's a bard and would use her music to weave spells on the battle field).  At the Celtic fest today, Malinda made the outfit even more awesome by re-appropriating the arm cuffs into hair ties to pull her hair back.  I am so super duper happy with her right now, Aria is totally going to kill me for having her off her body this long. lol But I just can't get enough of her right now.  I'll have to take some pictures of her tomorrow with the good camera.

Besides, I'll need to take some box opening pictures of my Eileen.  Maybe I'll do another video box opening.  This time, maybe I won't angle the camera only at my crotch, lol.

And, as the Creative Salon is temporarily being changed to tomorrow instead of Tuesday, I get to do some writing tomorrow!  Wheeee!
