Closer to Perfection
I have since calmed down from my little rant. Think soothing thoughts...think soothing thoughts...

Anywhoo, I got a nice surprise the other night when Malinda suddenly offered to finally finish Kilian's tattoo. His character is supposed to have a stylized dragon with a sunburst on his right arm (to go counter to the earring in his left ear). Old Kilian, the Shin-Ma that is now Illymar, had his tattoo done, but since reshelling the character to the tanned shiwoo...what, three years ago? Maybe two and a half. He's never gotten the tattoo transferred over. So poor Illymar has been "holding on" to the tattoo, as a reminder of how Kilian's tattoo should look. Wednesday, Kilian finally got his tattoo.
Now I have to remove the one from Illymar, but in the meantime, I thought it would be fun if I took a few pictures of the two tattoos.
Here are my two boys. Illymar kind of looks annoyed that he's still shirtless, while Kilian's like "Heck yeah! Look at my sexy bod!"

Kilian's tat. Malinda found it interesting that Kilian has less arm than Illymar, yet somehow the tat ended up being larger. o.O
The two tats together. As I tried to get the boys closer together to get the tats as close as possible, I had to move Kilian's arm from between them and it went to wrap around Illymar's waist and I was like, "Hey, you're straight!" I think Kilian was having himself a little fun freaking out Illymar. Illymar sometimes has some trouble with humor. lol
I am so super pleased with Kilian's tat. Love the longer snout, he looks so ferocious. Although the eye's a little softer, but I kinda like that, and I like that it's a bit more narrow, with the lines thinner on the ends. All in all, very happy and so is Kilian, so consider it a success. Now I gotta wipe Illymar (and maybe wipe Illymar's face while I'm at it; the boy's faceup is old and still technically Kilian's "face").
I also got a new outfit for Eilonwy, a trade for money owed. I took a few pictures of her in it. An expensive dress, but well worth the money, it's so incredibly well made.
I like this dress as it can be so may eras: steampunk and neo-victorian, colonial with the right overdress, regency, even medieval. All I need is the right accessories.

Close-up of the bodice. A bit steampunky with the gear-like clasp. With some other steampunk related items, it would work really nicely at the Steampunk faire.
Just the dress, which I think could work for a few time periods on its own. A nice straw hat would work nicely with it. Although her little elf ear sticking through her hair is totally killing me. Also, not sure if you can tell, but she's still wearing her shift under all this. Amazing how much it can work under. I did a bang-up job. The dress needs to be ironed, and that's kind of bugging me right now.
Malinda also threw in an extra bodice that she thinks might be a Moggie corset, but she's not sure. It looks a little more Renny now with the corset.
With all these dresses for her, I really need to find me some cute flats to go with them.
