Looking through the existing pics, the Yarnchesters in the wild one with 2 dolls posed on the stump outside was most appealing ot me in terms of light and composition, a lot of the other ones are sort of depenendent on knowing the characters and recognising the scenes and you can't really presume the judges will be Supernatural fans.. I'd say take two or three dolls max out and about and photograph them against trees or on benches or something outdoors for the better lighting. That way you can go in close enough to show the detail (because they are gorgeous creations, very skillful) but still have enough space to have some kind of context. Er, preferably without the barbie furniture. If you can submit 3 photos maybe one arty like I've said, one just the dolls posed against a backdrop and the third a fun scene with a caption if you can get it looking good?

I think what you say makes a lot of sense. By the same token, I'm pretty sure the judges will be familiar with SPN because of the nature of the contest, and they specifically mentioned silliness/humor in the rules, which is why I thought maybe scene and/or silly caption. Must ponder. :)

Thanks!

oops.

Please note it was 2.30am my time and therefore I can has an excuse for not actually clicking through on the contest link to see its SPN specific.

Ahem.

Sowwy.

So much for being helpful, though I think my comment on the wild pic stands if nothing else

Hee. No worries. And I think you're right, too. I've come up with one idea so far, and it requires outdoors as a background. :)

I think that the Dean (obviously), Sam (ditto), Castiel and Bobby Yarn!Chesters definitely should be included.

Maybe you could work the desert to your advantage. It's a setting the show's never gone to thanks to Vancouver's lack of, well, dryness. But it's a definitely a part of the country the boys *should* have gone through. So perhaps you can give them what Show never has: a western flair. Maybe even cowboyish, if you have any fitting props.

Anyway, good luck!
