Questions, comments, rude remarks?

Working on doing some more personalization on my Xanga while I'm at work today. Also trying to backdate my Livejournal and add info to my new 30boxes account. Phew! So, a real update may or may not occur later today.

I still have a couple of things to say. One being that a guy friend of mine told me once that guys don't like long nails on girls. This thought never occured to me. My nails had to be cut to work in the factory or they'd break off, but now, working in the office, they've grown quite long. I'd appreciate if my guy friends out there could weigh in on this. I'm quite curious.

Next, this is for L.'s benefit. Most of you may or may not know that Josh Groban is my favorite singer and that I'd like to sing with him one day. Well, Zach Provost is his pianist. I met him after my first Josh Groban concert about 2 years ago (to the day, I think!) and e-mailed him shortly thereafter with link to one of two songs that I wrote and a friend helped me record. The first one is really sketchy and I'm actually not very impressed with it myself, but I sent it to him anyway. I think, at this time, that I didn't have a copy of my 2nd song. I'm sure he would have liked it much more. This is what he wrote back:

Elisabeth,

It was nice to meet you in Denver and great to hear
your music.  Not sure what the title is of the one I
listened to ("Showing Me You Care"?) but my favorite
thing about it is your voice.  Your voice has a
wonderful natural warmth to it and it's a nice
"doorway to emotion", as a friend of mine would put
it.  Definitely keep singing.  The song has a nice
sentiment and melody.  Your recording could use some
cleaning up, certain spots that aren't as muscially
"tight" as others.  Remember you always want to put
your best foot forward so make sure your recordings
are the best they can be (no mistakes).

Keep at it Elisabeth, it's just gonna get better and
better.

Take care,
Zachary

I hope that he was being very objective and not just trying to be nice, but that's probably the closest to a professional opinion that I've gotten. I have had some more opinions, but this is probably the one I trust the most.
