Tons of ideas bouncing around in my head now. Don't mind me... ---
Day three within the ring of fire, with absolutely everything on the line.
Ace wiped the blood from his brow and launched yet another gout of flame. "I'm not running!" he insisted.
Jinbei skidded past the blazing heat and attacked in kind with a fierce ki punch that concussed the very air.
Ace hurtled back for the hundredth time but he would. not. quit.
Jinbei nearly fainted, panting, hardly able to stand, but he could scarcely let this pirate pass and dishonor the Whitebeard Pirates that had helped his race so selflessly.
Whitebeard was suitably impressed with the young challenger's performance so far, and more than a little touched by Jinbei's indomitable loyalty.
"Pride and resiliency in equal measure!" Whitebeard gurararara'd. "The sort of fearful symmetry you only see once in a generation. What do you think, my sons? Shall we induct him?"
"How long's it been, three days?" Marco asked, cracking the kink in his neck. "That's crazy. Even I'd need a beer break. Guy's gonna kill himself before long."
"I admire his chutzpah!" said Vista, twirling his twee moustache. "Though he may not be the brightest lad if he keeps at it. A man must know his limits!"
"I say we take him in," added Thatch, "if only to give the poor kid some blessed rest."
"Let them fight to the very last," said Jozu. "If we intervene then they'll just reignite the score again. He fashioned a firewall, clearly he can stand the heat."
"Then it's settled," Whitebeard grinned. "Symmetry is a beautiful thing. I'll stay my hand until those flames give out, and I won't leave as long as Jinbei fights for me. In the meantime, let's enjoy it!"
