-in the first confrontation when Shiki has Sanji by the ankle and everyone is all "OH NOES" and Zoro sees that Luffy is gearing up to attack and he just PUTS HIS SWORDS AWAY!!!! &hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts&hearts
-and when Luffy is stalking after Shiki and people keep trying to get in his way and he doesn't even blink because he knows his nakama are going to get them AND THEM DO!!!
-the guns. just. the guns.
-LOL SANJI AND ZORO'S REACTIONS TO FINALLY FINDING EACH OTHER ON THE ISLANDS "oh, it's just you" *dies laughing*
-Luffy's unconcerned glee at finding Nami (the first time) XD

Well. Kind of. New Avatar. 70 years after the first show. (why 70 years!??!?!?! T____T They killed Aang off in his early sixties - why was that necessary!?!??!?! And why are all the creators being evil now. *curls up in corner and cries*)
Besides the evilness of evil, the show's protagonist is a teenage girl. From the Water Tribe!!! (shh, water is my element) My hopes and prayers could not have been answered more perfectly.

The new “Avatar” is a woman. What inspired you to change the sex of the protagonist of the series?
Michael DiMartino: It’s not so much about changing because we had Avatar Kyoshi before Aang. We’d established that the Avatar can be male or female and we just thought let’s explore one of those more in depth, because Kyoshi was a popular character with a lot of fans and it seemed like a great opportunity to not retread what we’d done with Aang, who was a great hero, we all loved him, but we really wanted to try something different. And we have so many great female fans out there, who really responded to Katara in the first series, we thought we have the fan base who are really going to enjoy seeing the Avatar be a female.
Konietzko: Mike and I, we love those characters too, and we’ve encountered countless fans who are male who really like those characters too. We just don’t subscribe to the conventional wisdom that you can’t have an action series led by a female character. It’s kinda nonsense to us.
I love these guys. So, so much.

On the sad side: Legend of Korra doesn't start till late fall '11. And it'll only be 12 episodes.

I PASSED MY ROAD TEST!!!!!
Finally. It took me waaaay too long to take to driving. I used to have nightmares as a kid of getting trapped in our old van and having to drive it >.>
... I was never a keen driving student. But I was so ready to have my license these past few months. So ready. And failing the road test in June sucked. =_= (three automatic fails - one for being too timid at a yielding, one for not stopping when I was in reverse for parallel parking and someone was coming down the street in the other lane (no one told me this dammit) and one because some @#&$ changed lanes on me when I was at a stop sign *big sigh*).
I love the freedom. And I have to say, the driving itself is growing on me. There's something to be said for feeling the road through your car. Knowing your car that well.
Well, Bee's car because my little sister got her license before me ^^;
Still, that car and I go a long way back - it's my age, lol.
Next up - learning to drive Standard! My dad has a Subaru Outback that's Manual Transmission and I've been practicing with him. I'm not bad either! So I'm excited about that. Bee can't drive Standard muahahhahahhaa. (Also, Daddy says that Standard cars tend to sell for cheaper so.... whee monetary motivation :P)
Night driving is... part of me is enchanted by the pretty lights and the nostalgic feeling it brings of late nights coming in from the lake.
The rest of me can't get over how scary night driving is.
Also my hair is blue.
I shaved my head bald back in.... May. Partly because I like it that way, partly because my hair was finally long enough to donate. And now that it's grown back a bit I thought, well, if I'm ever going to do something crazy with my hair (besides shave it off) now's the time :D
I wanted purple but the hairdresser's purple was a wimpy pinkish purple. The blue dye was nice and deep. :D
Except the hairdresser bleached half of my eyebrow along with my hair T__T so now I have an eyebrow that's half dark brown, half yellow. On the plus side, I have dark brown mascara that I can use to cover is up until the bleached bits grow out ¬_¬
I'm kind of excited for my hair to grow out more and then I'll have brown & blue hair and it'll be crazy XD
