You certainly do! Has the snow stopped? How are you holding up?

I was holding up well until the power went down.

Saturday until 11.30am Sunday, then off again on Sunday night until Monday morning.

Because I got the gas cut off wirh the leak last year I had no other cooking or water heating - people gave me flasks for coffee - and I had no heating at all.

Fortunately most of it was nighttime and i tottered off to bed clutching candles both nights.

All working now, but the computer has not recovered.

As long as we live here, I'm not going to switch to an electric stove, we get too many power outages. Even though I would love to have one of those ceramic top stoves. Our hot water runs on gas as well which makes ll the difference when we lose power.

Peter installed some sort of auxiliary power supply to the computer system. It raises an alarm when power is interrupted and gives you five minutes or so to turn the computers off so that they're not damaged.

eta: kudos on the frazzled owl :D

Apparently this is global warming.

We had more snow yesterday but our part of the country was not too bad and I got to work ok. The Edinburgh area got most of it.

But that was mothing to what you are expecting.
