Gorgeous scenery--and how nice to be able to view it from indoors :) What a nice looking little town, I would never have expected the houses to be the colors we can see on the right.

scares the evil fairies away - the garish colours frighten them off so they don't bother the home.

.....this may or may not be true, but it's the explanation I was given as a child and i didn't question it.

ta-da. Meany Tourist Boarding Info. Very popular in fishing villages around Britain although much rarer to almost non-existent in fishing towns in the area of the Danelaw.

For some reason, I always though of those colors as a warm weather thing, Italy or the Caribbean. It's so pretty! We do not have that here as far as I'm aware.

that's why the bad fairies are always stealing your stuff. Paint your house florescent pink and they'll stop doing it.

It looks better with water! Our trees are turning color now, that's plenty bright.

You are kidding! I have scurried out for morning coffee, lunch, and afternoon coffee in three separate restaurants, and I am now back in the room, having coffee and wondering about dinner.
It is cold out there.
