Oscars 2016: See Matt Damon Celebrate As He Picks Up His Very First Oscar

This is adorable. Matt and Ben were so thrilled when they won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and it shows! They brought their moms as their dates. And hugged Robin Williams before they went on stage. And Matt? He's twenty-seven when this happens, but he looks like his Good Will Hunting character, about twenty!

You're welcome, hon! ♥

Matt and Ben have always credited Robin Williams for making "Good Will Hunting" possible, Chris. After he died, they both made emotional statements about his influence in their lives. Of course, I think we all feel that way about him!

It would be a major upset if Matt won Best Actor. Of course, to me he's definitely that and I love every moment of "The Martian" thanks to him. However, the prevailing wisdom seems to be that Leo is going to win; even Matt says so, lol! :)

I loved the Martian and did not like the Revelant I know the money is on Leo but for me a film has to move me and keep me thinking, the Revelant did not do that. However leaving the theatre after the Martian I felt so good and who cannot love Matts cheeky grin

I didn't see The Revenant, because I knew it wasn't my kind of movie. The Martian? I've seen it six times and will be watching it on Oscar night. Like you, it really moved me with such a positive message and a great performance by Matt Damon, not to mention direction by Ridley Scott. Lots and lots of people agree with that, because I see them every day online talking about how great the movie was. Still, the movie did very, very well at the box office, it's skyrocked Matt's career, it's even helped NASA, who just announced they'd had the greatest influx of people wanting to be astronauts ever in the history of the agency. So it's done its work and will continue to do so, Oscar or no Oscar! :)
