Lina, how's your leg? Okay? Henry and Henry, I'd ask about your side and shoulder, but I should hope that if something were horribly wrong, you'dve told me to my face, so. If either of you are up for more shooting practice tomorrow, let me know ( Read more... )

Where the lock is?

You mean you don't know the world you're supposed to use?

Yeah, I'm afraid we don't. Walter never uses a portal, he just appears and disappears, so we don't know exactly where he's from.

Do you know potential words where he could be hiding? At least two or three?

Can you find anything similar between their coordinates, making it possible to set them apart from other worlds?

I know he's in his homeworld, but there could be a lot of versions of it out there. What sets his world and its alternates apart from the rest, as far as I can tell, is the existence of a town called Silent Hill on Lake Toluca, where a religious cult called the Order is based out of. It's in the state of Maine in the U.S., June 2006.

Unfortunately, I'd bet nearly every world where Silent Hill exists also has Walter in it. What sets this one apart that I know of is that Walter has Liz Sherman-Townshend and Lisa Garland, absorbed a demon from the Nexus called Mammon, and is directing a man named Troy Abernathy.

No one's been to that world from the Nexus except for Walter, Abernathy, and the people he's kidnapped, and since I don't know how the whole coordinates system works, I'm afraid I don't have any numbers to work from. Do you know, is it possible to track down where he's from anyways?

It's a little tougher, but since I rarely use PINpoints in the first place, there's enough for me to work with.

The safest way would be checking portals in the Nexus. He couldn't just warp in one day, so the portal should still be there. Of course, there would be portals leading to multiple versions of this Silent Hill, but one of them should be the one we need. We only need to find it.

To narrow down the list, do you have anything connected to Walter or this town? If I have a scent or a DNA sample, I can locate the portals with a similar feel. That'll help me jump into only potentially useful portals, as opposed to every single one.

(( Sorry for slow responses. I caught a cold and that puts a serious lid on my ability to concentrate on writing. X_X ))

Connected to a Silent Hill? Yes, a lot. Connected to his particular hometown? No, I'm afraid not.

As for things connected to him... Damn, we threw away the bullet. I bet that would've been good. There's a letter, though. He didn't write it, but the paper and ink are from his world, would that help?

Oh, and I can help rule some things out, too. I probably shouldn't go to the Nexus, it'd be painting a big target on us, but I can describe a couple of portals that lead to the wrong Silent Hill.

(( No worries, mon! I am the slowest slow that ever did muthaeffin slow, even when healthy. Just feel better! D: ))

A letter and portal locations should do. I'll memorize the basic signs and scents and then use them to locate other worlds. He's bound to be in one of them.

I can start whenever you want me to.

Great. Do you have to take the letter with you, or is it all right to see it and go? Given the purpose, I think the Sherman-Townshends won't mind letting it go for a while, but it would be nice if it could stay here, y'know?

Thanks, Ether, this is really kind of you to offer, I appreciate it a lot.

I only need a scan. It'll take me five minutes, and then you can have it back.

And there's nothing to thank me for. I do what I can.

I'll get that letter to you. And I probably don't have to tell you to be careful, but...keep your eyes open. Most of all, make sure you don't get stuck anywhere.

Thank you, Ether.

I understand. If there'll be anything I can't handle, I'll run for it and report back to you.

Don't worry. I'll find them.
