busy weekend.
i brought my laptop to a repair center so now i'm borrowing dad's for the weekend. based on the little research i did on the 'net and talking to the tech on the phone, it sounds like it could just be the monitor's inverter. if that's the case then not only can they fix it but they'll do it for much less that sending it to HP. AND i won't have to ship it. hopefully it'll just be the inverter, they'll get a replacement quickly and i'll be back to my pc in no time. playing with my old laptop is nice, though. i'm reminded how much i love the keyboard and touch-pad much better than on my current one.
this weekend is going to be very busy. dad's kyudo buds came in late last night and will stay until sunday. they left at 5am to attend kyudo practice in north carolina and should be back later this evening. the 'bean and i will be attending solomon's (john's grandson) 5th b-day party so i'm quite exciting about it. there's supposed to be quite a lot of people plus there's always good food. they will also be making tie-dye shirts so i got asuka a plain white, cotton t-shirt. i just hope we'll be able to handle all the excitement considering asuka was awake at 6am. T_T
not to mention it could be as high as 110 degrees today. it just doesn't get that hot here usually which means it's going to be humid and miserable. T_T at least john has AC again at his place.
this morning, not only did i wake up early, but there was a huge bee in the hallway greeting me. i encouraged him out by opening the door (although i debated on taking him out with the fly-swatter) and he buzzed out quite willingly.
and yesterday my boss left me a $100 bonus. O_O i wasn't expecting that but it came at the right time. :3 i hope everyone is well.
