We're rehearsing some of our magic tricks for the show. Some include- mentalism, destruction and restoration of objects, piercing flesh with skewers, women appearing out of too-small places, and the grand finale, a disappearance.
We want to incorporate some dancing into the performance, and Jeremey suggested music to play for one segment. I envisioned us assistants getting down and actually crawling, stripper style. Guess we're going to literally be crawling offstage. This means I'm going to have to download a BUNCH of stripper dance footage, or hit up strip joints more for research. I have no dance skills. This is going to be interesting.
Rough week. Have you ever tried dating your director before? Separating criticism from my work and our own separate lives together has been hard, but at least I acknowledge and understand what needs to be overcome and adjusted to. It'll be okay I think. I am pretty good at being slinky, after all.
