My job here in Fayetteville is to be the night monitor. I am to sit at a desk in the hallway watching for kids trying to sneak out or dying or something. My monitoring starts and 11pm and ends at 7am. I have Dr. Pepper, Mtn Dew, and espresso. Weeeeeeeeeee. I'll keep a log every night to keep me sane (hey, it's something to do). And, look, I'm actually writing in my LJ! :D
11:15 check in:
Well, now it's time to see if I can stay up all night and not go crazy. :) Jon has introduced me to Puzzle Pirates, so I think I'll be just fine. It's so much fun! :) Plus, I'm on an SA goon crew! Double Plus Good! :D
I'll let everyone know if there's anything interesting. I'm sure by 3 or 4 I'll be having wild caffeine hallucinations to share with everyone. :D

11:17:
My coworker locked herself out of her room after her shower :) Hee hee.

1:30 check in:
All clear, all clear, all clear. I have to make rounds every hour or hour and a half, and I have to answer some simple yes or no questions on a form. I already find myself not reading the questions, just answering like I did last time. Ha ha. The most exciting thing that's happened hall-wise is that one of the showers was dripping and I turned it off. I was tempted to put this in the "Was there anything of interest happening?" section, but I refrained. It's not really interesting.
I feel sorry for the girls in the room right behind my desk. One of them keeps tossing and turning. I think my typing is kind of annoying. :'( Maybe I'll move my desk a little to the left for tomorrow night (it'd be too noisy to do it now).
Puzzle Pirates is the awesome. :)

My back hurts. I need a better chair.
---
1:39:
Nevermind, this chair is SOOO much fun to rock. Wee.
---
1:45:
The caffeine twitching is starting already. This doesn't bode well for the later morning.
---
1:48:
I bought a bottle of Febreze on Wednesday or Thursday, and I've been using it like crazy on my sweaters and bedding and carpet. It's so much fun! I just laid out my two blankies and sprayed them for freshness. I was contemplating going down the hall spraying to freshen the carpet, but I think it'd make too much noise :D

2:10
I took all sorts of crazy pictures that I was going to post, but I just found out I didn't bring the cable to bridge camera to computer. Goddamnit!
---
3:10:
I checked my email a while back, and my mom had sent me an email telling me how I needed to come up with an ASMSA tshirt design or
THIS would become the tshirt for my poor, poor sister... I couldn't let that happen, so here's what I've come up with so far:
I'm sure I'll come up with something even greater as the week goes by. :) Also: Does anyone have an opinion on the preposition there? for? of? Hmm.
---
3:15:
Looking at that picture again, it isn't all that great. But compared to the one that's "going to be the tshirt," I think it's a vast improvement.
---
3:30:
I think it looks nice in Navy and White :)
---
5:00:
I don't think I mentioned this before, but I didn't feel like hauling ice up from the basement for my soft drinks, so I froze water in the bottom of some of my cups in order to chill said drinks. It's pretty sweet. I also froze a halfandhalf and sugar mixture for some frozen-like latte things. Best idea ever.

5:05:
I'm trying to figure out which way is east, so I know where the sun is going to come up. Hmm... I think it's to the left of my desk, like Gregson faces east.
---
5:07:
I know why the sky is blue---
5:24:
I didn't know that British subs flew the Jolly Roger. :) Also: Maybe if I just took the stupid slogan off the front, it'd be better. I don't like corny slogans.
---
5:42:
One of the Kauffman coaches woke up! Bwahahahahah.
And this is the best use of a Venn diagram ever:

5:48:
There is a lightening of the sky! The sun will surely follow soon. Of course, the sun may already be up, but it's supposed to be stormy today. :)

5:55:
This is what my log looks like (not the questionaire type one, just notes on the night):
337 was a bit talkative 11:15pm
333 someone talks in their sleep :) 1:37am
The shower was dripping 1:39am
333 some girls are stirring and snoring 3:35am
Roberto called for a technical problem 3:35am
Teryl went to the bathroom 5:00am
Manomay's alarm went off :) 5:35am
Both Teryl and Brooke's alarms went off, but they haven't left their rooms yet 5:50am
So... I don't really think this is what was supposed to go in the log, but... None of the girls even went to the bathroom!!! Crazy. Maybe they're all dead.
(Roberto, Teryl and Brooke are coworkers, Manomay is a Kauffman coach, which is like what the youth leaders do, except she's an adult)

6:22:
Maybe I should put this under an LJ cut :P
