Re: epic commentaitakuteFebruary 27 2009, 02:50:33 UTC
I really have no idea if pigeons eat silk worms but I reckon worms are worms and ... pigeons eat worms. :D
I think ZL doesn't mind being the bottom, really. ;D He's got such an air of servitude attached to him that it's humbling considering how smart that man is, yet .... oh! <3 :D
Likewise! I mean, the posters were all about Tony, and Takeshi. One would think they would be paired somewhat. No doubt the qin scene is hot, but there's a lack of chemistry there and if anything, a sense of rivalry. Unlike.... unlike the court scene. That screams love at first sight. ;D (I wasn't bouncing on my chair - I was on the floor so ... bouncing on the floor? LOL.)
Aha! I love that phrase mono no aware, I didn't know what it is until you mentioned so I Googled it up, and now it's going to be my favorite phrase. *laughs* It's the sort of thing I tend to try to achieve with any pairing I write. .... ROFL HAHA if they did decide to fuck everything and start raising silkworms, the dead ones up there (Sun Ce, Zhou Yu, dead soldiers etc) would be absolutely horrified that their manly death were for nothing. :P
Now, on the other hand, ZL as harem boy.... *coughs madly*
Not a problemo! My only problem now lies in finding my cable. I lost the cable to my other external hard drive. *groans* If I find it I'll upload it pronto ;D
If you do post the fic on WuDi, let me know - I reckon it'll be on your journal? Your writings are always a delight to read, even the SQ/ZL fic before I watch RC, so I would like to have a read ;D
Re: epic commentglitterburnFebruary 27 2009, 07:56:22 UTC
I watched RC1 again yesterday and ZL has such a look of adoration when he first sees SQ HAHAHA he's so easy. I think Chrissy might be right when she said prior to True Love striking, ZL had something with Zhao Yun, he does seem super-concerned about him at the start XD
He would make such a pretty harem boy. Sold at auction with a baying mob of guys bidding for him XD
No worries, I'm not in a rush! The qin music and other two albums are keeping me happy :)
I probably won't post the WuDi fic (thinking about selling it somewhere since it turned out longer than expected), but I can send it to you if you like?
Re: epic commentaitakuteFebruary 27 2009, 09:06:53 UTC
You caved in and watched RC1? ;D Hahahaha yes omg the scene is priceless. I just love the part when SQ strides in purposefully, and ZL just seems to have fallen in love at that very moment. ;D Ooooh ZL and Zhao Yun (damn, two ZYs makes it hard to abbreviate!) - that is most interesting, TBH. And did you realise that most of the OTPs are cross-kingdoms? Like, SQ/ZL and ZY/ZY?
In an alternate universe I can see that happening and I can see how sexy it would be to have him sold - kneeling at a wooden platform not knowing how his fate would be like... :P though that brings up an interesting point - Zhuge Jin, ZL's brother, served SQ. Right from the onset. Had Liu Bei not pursue ZL, ZL might have either continue spending his life with Mingtian, or maybe he would have met SQ under different circumstances. ;D
Oohh you're selling it? That's a good idea. :D Esp if this is turning out to be novella length. And yes please, only if you don't mind me reading it if you are going to sell this off. :D My email is enervate6@yahoo.com <3 Thank you in advance!
Re: epic commentglitterburnFebruary 27 2009, 09:24:10 UTC
Cross-kingdom OTPs are more yearning and romantic because they can't be together OMG!
Zhuge Jin, ZL's brother, served SQ. Right from the onset Oh crap, I thought Zhuge Jin went to Wu after Red Cliff -_- damn that's messed up my Cunning Plan for future fic!! *headdesk*
Maybe he'd have become a famous silkweaver/silk merchant (his business named Mingtian in honour of his favourite silkworm) and SQ would have been attracted by his pretty pretty silks and then by his pretty pretty looks XD
I'll sit on it for a month or so then edit it again and perhaps send it off. I'm a bit :/ about going back into publishing TBH, I hate all the promotional stuff that's required. I'll see how I feel in a month or so.
Re: epic commentaitakuteFebruary 27 2009, 09:41:23 UTC
And they meet once a... blue moon! 8D
*slaps forehead* I wasn't sure, because I was reading a heap of stuff on those historical figures week or two ago in trying to understand the whole semantics of the Three Kingdoms, and now I can't find the article on Zhuge Jin. I am not sure when he went to Wu; tbh it could be after Chi Bi. XDDD Let's assume it is after. Now continue fic~~ ;D <3
Mingtian is a lovely name, actually. 'Tomorrow' - so suggestive of hope and a brighter day :D and knowing ZL, his silks would be so beautiful, even SQ would travel far for it. :D (Oh hay another plot. Involving worms. LOL.)
Is it a hard thing to push manuscripts through to publishers? It seems like they tend to bully the writers a fair bit. :/ Sometimes I feel it's pretty unfair to the creative people to go through such hassle (and esp with them holding the financial power to print).
Re: epic commentglitterburnFebruary 27 2009, 10:08:43 UTC
I thought he'd named the worm Mingtian because of the tragic irony that, for the worm, tomorrow could mean his DEATH - boiled aliveeeeee!!!
Worm plot is awesome and needs to be written.
My publishers are epublishers (some do print, too) so it's less of a hassle than going through a traditional publisher. Epubs bring their own problems though - there's only a handful of good ones that'll actually make you money (and interestingly one of my books sells better in print than it does in e-form when I expected it'd be the other way round).

Am replying to this to say that I'm in the midst of your epic Fall of a State and am already so, so, so deeply in love with the story. Do expect a review <3 *goes back to the story while fanning self - no, not with ZL's fan, I've had enough of his whining*
